Red-Belted Conk (a.k.a. fomitopsis pinicola) is shelf mushroom known by the beautiful red band that emerges in between layers of it's growth. It's a real beauty to spot one in the wild.

Known as “tinderwood fungus” native peoples would often carry this mushroom as a fire starter, but this functional mushroom does so much more!

Red Belted Conk has traditionally been used to regulate blood sugar, support absorption and elimination, reduce menstrual cramps, and reduce headaches.
